So to put 2000 hours on a chainsaw it would have to run at its rated RPM for 2000 hours. I figure a chainsaws rated RPM is full throttle. It is 54cc and far superior to anything else built in that class such as MS290 and 455 Rancher. It has split cases, adjustable oiler, and very solid construction. Do a muffler mod and that is all it needs to be a really good firewood saw.Long story short, I have a 2009 372xpw saw, 28" bar. Got it used with low hours. Around 2016 or 2017... Wasn't used much but sits a lot. (Inside a truck) Leaking bar oil, piston is scored on exhaust side, still have 150 psi compression though. Most of my cutting is dead and down wood for firewood.I like a 28"-32" axe with a wider poll and a sharp-ish blade (not a splitter). Around 3 - 3.5 lbs. I use the axe for any wedge driving, and for rolling logs, pulling rounds on to my two wheel cart, and picking up rounds.
