You are decreasing overall cartridge length, which equates to less velocity at the muzzle and less energy, as well as less recoil. However, my P365 is an early production model (February 2018) and aside from the dead night sights (which was fixed by Sig), I have yet to have an issue with the gun. For a milled slide, look at Fabricated Arms, Jagerwerks, Maple Leaf Firearms, and Parker Mountain Machine. All are reputable shops which will mill your P365 slide for anywhere between $100 and $150. They also offer refinishing or cerakoting, some offer cover plates or adapters, some will also carry the optic.Wipe down the interior of the tube and assemble dry. Let them sit loaded, even partially, for a few days. Shoot them a few times. The design of the P365 magazine is such that the spring rate on them is so high sometimes it takes a bit of work cycling for the components to wear in slightly for full capacity to be reached.I sold my P938 because I found it was deficient in all aspects compared to the P365. Including ammo capacity. One attribute of the P365 is the size of the trigger guard, which accomodates a gloved hand better. I carry strong side IWB and the P365 with the flat base magazine is much easier to conceal than the P365 XL because of the height differential. The P365 is also more convenient to carry because the shorter slide and the 10 versus 12 round magazine make the gun lighter.Jul 7, 2020 · The best would be the mostly or totally American made Trijicon RMR type 2- but it'll be slightly wider than the slide on a p365XL, which is just an aesthetic issue. The slide would need to be milled for an RMR. Or wait for the rumored Trijicon micro optic coming in late 2020.
